Hello, I’m Arima, a professional photographer born and raised in Kumamoto, and the second-generation owner of our local photo studio. With decades of experience, I know this region inside out.

What makes my shooting experience unique is my deep passion for Japanese culture. I hold the Grade 1 Jinja Kentei (Shrine Test) certification and have extensive expertise in Kimono and local history.

Whether you want to shoot at a historic shrine or explore hidden cultural gems, I can guide you through the local etiquette, ensuring a respectful, deeply authentic, and memorable experience.

HOW IT WORKS

⚠️ TERMS & CONDITIONS (Please Read Before Booking)

• Payment & Booking Confirmation: Full advanced payment via PayPal is required to secure your booking slot. Once details are settled, I will send you a PayPal invoice. Your booking is officially confirmed only after payment is received.
• Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellations made by the client for personal reasons are non-refundable, as that time slot is locked exclusively for your session.
• Weather Policy: Shoots are conducted rain or shine. Cloudiness or rain is not a valid reason for a refund or free cancellation; as a professional, I guarantee high-quality photos under any weather conditions. In the event of extreme, hazardous weather (e.g., typhoon warnings), we will prioritize rescheduling. If your travel itinerary makes rescheduling impossible, a refund will be discussed at the photographer’s discretion.
• Transportation Notice: Due to Japanese regulations and insurance compliance, I am strictly unable to provide transportation in my personal vehicle. Clients must arrange their own transit (taxi, rental car, or public transport) to the meeting point and between shooting spots.
• Admission Fees: If your selected location requires an entrance or facility fee (such as specific shrine areas, Japanese gardens, or Kumamoto Castle), the client is responsible for covering the admission costs for both themselves and the photographer.
• Punctuality: Please arrive on time. If you run late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time to avoid impacting subsequent clients.
